The hadith scholar and judge Abū Bakr al-Jaʿābī (284–355 AH) mentions the Musnad of Imām Zayd ibn ʿAlī—peace be upon them—describing it as Kitāb al-Aḥkām, a work arranged into disciplines and chapters of jurisprudence. Al-Qāḍī al-Jaʿābī characterizes it as a well-known book. This is beneficial for researchers investigating the historical existence of the Musnad in the third and fourth centuries (AH), as well as its fame.
