The Saved Sect

The Book (Qurʾān), and the Sunnah came with defining who the saved sect are, Allāh (the Glorious) said: {By the ˹passage of˺ time! [1] Surely humanity} until the end of the Ṣūrah.* And He (the Exalted) said: {Successful indeed are the believers} Until His saying (the Exalted): {They will be there forever}.**

He then said: al-Buḳhāri narrated in his Ṣaḥīḥ from Abī Hurairah that the Prophet (p) said: ((“All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” They said, “O Allāh’s Messenger (p)! Who will refuse?” He said, “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it)”)).[1]

Therefore, whoever possesses these qualities in Ṣūrat al-ʿAsr, al-Muʾminūn, and the Ḥadīth are from the saved sect: Irrespective of whether they are Ḥijazīs, Yemenīs, Shamīs, or from any other land.

No Takfīr, no extremism, no arrogance. This is the essence of Zaydism.

Footnotes

*By the ˹passage of˺ time!
Surely humanity is in ˹grave˺ loss,
except those who have faith, do good, and urge each other to the truth, and urge each other to perseverance.
–Chapter 103 of the Glorious Qurʾān

**Successful indeed are the believers:
those who humble themselves in prayer;
those who avoid idle talk;
those who pay alms-tax;
those who guard their chastity
except with their wives or those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession, for then they are free from blame,
but whoever seeks beyond that are the transgressors;
˹the believers are also˺ those who are true to their trusts and covenants;
and those who are ˹properly˺ observant of their prayers.
These are the ones who will be awarded
Paradise as their own. They will be there forever.
–Chapter 23 of the Glorious Qurʾān
