Full Lineage

Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yaḥyā ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn al-Qāsim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Rassī (may God be pleased with them).

His Significance

The sixth of the forefathers of Imam al-Manṣūr Billāh ʿAbdullāh ibn Ḥamzah (may God be pleased with them).

His Call & Death

Called to God in 426 AH (or 422 AH per Qāḍī Ḥābis). Perhaps died in 433 AH.

His Identity

He is Imam Abū Hāshim al-Nafs al-Zakiyya (the Pure Soul), al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Yaḥyā ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn al-Qāsim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Rassī (may God be pleased with them).

His Place in the Chain of Imamate

He is the sixth of the forefathers of Imam al-Manṣūr Billāh ʿAbdullāh ibn Ḥamzah (may God be pleased with them) — the Greatest Imam and author of Al-Shāfī — tracing through the al-Qāsim ibn Ibrāhīm al-Rassī branch of the Prophet’s family.
