Abu al-Rayhan al-Biruni

Abu al-Rayhan al-Biruni (d. 440 AH):
A prominent figure among the Zaydis and one of the greatest scholars overall in the fields of astronomy, geography, chemistry, physics, mathematics, medicine, pharmacy, biology, history, and all natural sciences. Renowned scholars, researchers, and orientalists acknowledged his Zaydi affiliation. In his books, one can find subtle and explicit references that indicate his Zaydism.
The German historian Eduard Sachau said about him:
“Al-Biruni is the greatest intellect known to history.”
The West would not have made advances in science without his works. Without him, there would be no Newton and no advancement!
