Imam al-Dāʿī Yūsuf al-Akbar
The Elder Summoner to God — Peace Be Upon Him
Imam al-Dāʿī ilā Allāh Yūsuf al-Akbar (the Elder), son of Imam al-Manṣūr Billāh Yaḥyā, son of Imam al-Nāṣir li-Dīn Allāh Aḥmad, son of Imam al-Hādī ilā al-Ḥaqq Yaḥyā ibn al-Ḥusayn — may God be pleased with them. He also transferred his uncle Imam al-Mukhtār to the shrine of Imam al-Hādī in Ṣaʿda after twenty-five years and found him unchanged.
The great Amīr Sharaf al-Dīn al-Ḥusayn ibn Badr al-Dīn — author of Al-Shifāʾ — said: This Imam rose in the year 368 AH.
He died at Ṣaʿda in Ṣafar of the year 403 AH. His grave is beside his father Imam al-Manṣūr Billāh Yaḥyā in the sacred garden of Ṣaʿda — alongside his grandfather Imam al-Hādī ilā al-Ḥaqq, his father, and the many Imams and martyrs gathered there.
