Imam al-Mukhtār li-Dīn Allāh ibn al-Nāṣir
Abū Muḥammad al-Qāsim — Peace Be Upon Him
Imam al-Mukhtār li-Dīn Allāh, Abū Muḥammad al-Qāsim, son of Imam al-Nāṣir Aḥmad, son of Imam al-Hādī ilā al-Ḥaqq Yaḥyā ibn al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon them). He is the ancestor of the Āl Yaḥyā ibn Yaḥyā.
Al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn Qays al-Hamdānī took him captive by treachery in Ṣafar of the year 345 AH. He was then killed in captivity on the first day of Shawwāl of that same year.

IIDefilement in Captivity
The dissolute ones used to enter upon him with wine and ritually defile him, saying: “Drink, or smell, O our master, these scents.” Some of his followers would come in upon him every Friday weeping; he would dig out the floor clay of the place of prostration that his captors had defiled and replace it, and would wash his garments. This was the captors’ custom throughout his imprisonment.

IIIMartyrdom
He was killed on the first day of Shawwāl 345 AH — peace be upon him.
His nephew Imam Yūsuf, son of Imam al-Manṣūr Billāh Yaḥyā, son of Imam al-Nāṣir, transferred him from Rayda to the shrine of his grandfather Imam al-Hādī ilā al-Ḥaqq in Ṣaʿda — after the passing of twenty-five years.
When his remains were transferred after twenty-five years, Imam Yūsuf found him unchanged — a sign among the signs of God’s honour for the pure progeny of His Prophet ﷺ.
