Full Lineage

Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn al-ʿAbbās ibn al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥasan al-Sibt.

His Call

He called people to God early on. His release from captivity was secured by Imam al-Ḥusayn al-Fakhkhī (peace be upon him).

Passing & Burial

Poisoned by the ʿAbbāsid. Died in the blessed city of Medina, beside his grandfather the Messenger of God ﷺ. Left no descendants.

His Life

Imam Abū al-Ḥasan ʿAlī ibn al-ʿAbbās ibn al-Ḥasan ibn al-Ḥasan al-Sibt (peace be upon him). He called people to God early on. Muḥammad ibn Abī al-Dawānīq the ʿAbbāsid took him captive. Imam al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī — the one who was killed at Fakhkh — secured his release. Then the ʿAbbāsid slipped poison to him, and he died of it in the blessed city of Medina, beside his grandfather the Messenger of God ﷺ. He left no descendants.

    The ʿAbbāsid slipped poison to him. He died of it in the blessed city of Medina, beside his grandfather the Messenger of God ﷺ. He left no descendants.
